Gone with the Wind by Margaret MitchellI've only managed to finish 2 books so far this year, and this is why! At 1020 pages, it took some doing!
Rating: 4/5
I'm glad I finally read this American classic. The characters were well-written and vivid, especially the memorable Scarlett. I'm not usually a fan of Civil War stories, but I enjoyed the Southern perspective. Much more than just a love story!!
Bad Bit: several typos and those always drive me crazy!
Quote that made me laugh: "Added to it was the usual masculine disillusionment in discovering that a woman has a brain."
