Shinjuku Gyoen

The sun was out, the sky was blue and there was a breeze so it wasn't quite so hot. So we headed to Shinjuku gyoen for a little while this afternoon. We enjoyed the lake of lily pads!

  2. Not that we noticed, but you'd think so. Maybe they were hiding beneath all those lily pads.

  3. That is beautiful; makes me miss Tokyo. I only lasted 8 months down there as I couldn't hack the heat!

  5. Brit in Hokkaido- Thanks for stopping by! Yup, summer here is pretty nasty! I'm so ready for autumn and wish it would hurry up. The Canadian in me would probably be much better suited to living in Hokkaido! Snow- no problem!

Nancy, they're actually going brown around the edges- past their peak. Still impressive though.

  6. I just love your pictures. Makes me want to go to Japan. Not that I needed much help with that :)

  7. Thanks Heather. Unless you like hot and sticky, don't come in the summer though! ;P
