Goddess of the rainbow

According to the flower expert:
The Iris was named after the Goddess of the rainbow because of it's many colours.

  1. Oh my goodness! I have thoroughly loved your pictures...absolutely beautiful! :)

Question for you: Can I use one of them on my blog? I would probably put it in my header. It has your name on it already, so I can be free advertising for you. :) What do you think?

  2. Thanks Joy. Sure, I don't mind. I can send you the picture you want without my name on it. I was going to say I'd email you but I don't seem to see your email address in your profile. Could you email me? (tanabata2000ATgmailDOTcom).

  3. Beautiful picture!

I think I'm showing my father your blog - he loves nature pictures, especially plants, and yours are just so beautiful!

  4. I have really been enjoying your photos, too. Keep 'em coming!

  5. Thanks Nymeth.
This month I've had a lot of nature photos because of the irises being in bloom. Because of the heat we don't get out as much during the summer but there will always be some. :)

    Gentle Reader,
Thank you! I think that was the last of the iris pictures for this year so I'll have to see what else is blooming. And stay tuned for a beautiful picture of hydrangeas that H took recently.

  6. I was posting a lot of iris pictures last month when we had them blooming. They are so lovely! I really like this shot. Do you mind if I link you in my Sunday Garden Stroll round up this week? I found your blog today coming from Shelf Life.

  7. Woo Hoo! Thank you for offering to send me the pictures, but I think you deserve the credit. Come look! :)

  8. What a lovely photo! I am here from The Garden Stroll. I love nature photos and look forward to seeing more of your blog.

  9. Cloudscome,
Thanks for stopping by. No I don't mind and I see you've linked to me already. :)
I took a quick look through some of your iris and other flower pictures, and they're lovely.

Very nice, but of course I'd say that seeing as they're my pictures! :P
But seriously if the writing is in the way, just let me know and I can send them to you name-free.

    Mom Unplugged,
Getting out to enjoy some of the parks around Tokyo is what keeps us from going insane in this hectic, noisy city!
I like your recent kitty pics! :)
