purple velvet

There were lots of different kinds and colours of irises but the dark purple ones looked like soft purple velvet in the sunshine. Made me want to reach out and touch it. (Course I didn't really).

  1. That's so pretty. I always touch plants (like when I go to the botanical gardens). They can stand a little soft petting, and many of them are so soft!

  5. Kookiejar,
I'll touch leaves sometimes, but in this case I probably would've gotten some looks and/or tumbled into the garden reaching over. The beauty of zoom.

    Minge,
Hi. Thanks for visiting. Just checked out your blog and see you've just got back from a trip to Japan!

    Robin,
    I just love the purple!

    Lotus,
    More to come...promise! :)

    Grace,
Thanks but really I think I'm just lucky half the time.

  6. You're a better woman than I. I would've touched it. As a matter of fact, I even reached out to touch the computer screen! :P

  7. Donna,
LOL! Wouldn't that be fun if you could feel texture on a computer screen? This one wasn't right near the walkway (love my zoom) though and would've probably had me tipping head first into the irises. And that would've caused a commotion for sure! :P

  8. LOL at cdnreader's screen comment! :) That was cute.

I've loved viewing all of your pictures. They are beautiful. AND...my favorite flower is a purple iris! Thanks for sharing your photos.

Actually, I've been planning on adding a purple iris to my header on my blog. I just haven't got there yet.
