Vienna

Café Central

A few days ago Danielle mentioned living in Austria for a year, and how wouldn't it be nice to be sitting in a little Viennese coffee shop, with a good book in hand, right about now. So that prompted me to look in my Vienna folder. I was only there for 4 days in June 2005, but it could certainly be on my list of 'places I'd rather be right now'. Since I'm not terribly fond of Japan at the moment (darn weather!), I hope you don't mind, I'm going to revisit Vienna this week.

  3. Who wouldn't want to be there? It's so beautiful. I just checked their weather and 85 degrees is the warmest it's going to get for the next 10 days. Let's book our flight now! :)

  4. Hi I love Europe and Vienna is certainly one of the places I want to visit before I die (knock on wood!).

We plan to take our daughter to the Sound of Music Tour in Austria when she's older!

  5. Les,
Sometimes I wish we could go back in time because we only started to get into taking pictures partway through our time in the UK, so I don't have that many good photos. Oh well, we'll just have to live in Europe again someday!

    Gentle Reader,
Doesn't it? I love all the architecture in Europe, and the atmosphere.

    Kookie,
Sounds good! I'd love to take off for a holiday right now. Impromptu bloggy gathering in Vienna?

    Grace,
That sounds fun. I'm sure your daughter will love it. I love Europe too!

  6. Don't mind at all :)
I was in Vienna about 6 years ago and would go back in a heartbeat. Hmm, now I'm going to be dreaming about this as I sit at my desk at work.

  8. I love to see people's travel pictures too.

I was on an exchange to Vienna when I was 14, in the dark old ages, but I still have fond memories. Didn't take a single photo though, so yours are double welcome.

  9. Hi, and you're welcome! It's been fun looking at my pictures again and looking in my Vienna guidebook. It's really making me want to go back to see what I missed though.
