lazy day

Today was a national holiday here,'Respect for the Aged Day'. And let's see...we got up really late (around noon), then in the afternoon I had a nap! (was reading but I got sleepy), and this evening we watched a movie. What a lazy day!
In cat-related news, lately Bailey's been a bit bored and grumpy and demanding so we finally got a laser pointer this weekend to play with them. OH MY! What fun!!

  5. I think everyone deserves a lazy day every now and then. Great to recharge one's batteries and probably helps keep you healthy.

We had one of those laser pointers for Frankie. Couldn't decide if it was entertaining or cruel! ;)

  6. I just love white cats because they keep their fur so pretty! Beautiful photo - love that green towel.

    We've done the laser thing - it's a hoot!

I could use a lazy day. Maybe this Friday since it's my day off . . .

  8. A "Respect for the Aged Day"? Wow, that's a great concept, what are the different things they do to honor the elderly on that day? I wish more countries would adopt that concept, sadly in many places the elderly have become invisible.

  9. Les,
Yes the laser pointer is a bit cruel and frustrating. They can never catch the darn thing! :P
    How is Frankie these days?

    Nancy,
They go nuts chasing the pointer, it's so fun!
I had a green theme this summer and 'their chair' always gets an extra towel what with shedding and scratching. Nice background for Bailey though. :)

    Wendy,
Lazy days are great! Hope you get to have your own on Friday. :)

    Lotus,
I have to say I don't know any specifics other than that grandchildren will often do something for their grandparents, and in the news there are more stories featuring the elderly, and the oldest people, etc. It certainly is a nice idea though.
