Autumn in Kamakura

We went to Kamakura on Sunday to catch the last of the autumn leaves for this year. I know you're probably sick of all my pictures of leaves lately but I'll have something else next week, promise.

  12. Well, you here one that is not fed with your leaves photos... they remind me of the words of Marguerite Yourcenar on her book (I don´t know of the title in English is "Time, that sculpture") when she referes that true beauty of trees can only be seen in Autumn.

  15. When I look out my window all I see is ice and snow (which isn't a bad thing...but colorless), so your fall pictures are like a breath of fresh air.

  17. You can never post too many nature pictures, as far as I'm concerned. I love the close-up of the leaves. Gorgeous! Ours are all gone, which is probably a good thing since everything's covered in ice. :(

  19. Beautiful photos all the time! Funny though that when I think of Kamakura, the big Buddha statue pops in my mind and not the beautiful scene captured in your picture! ;-)

  20. Kookie- I'd love some snow but I do like all the colours of autumn.

    Bellezza- So true!

Les- We do tend to mainly take nature photos so that's good to know! ;)

    Thanks Stephanie!

  21. Grace- We didn't go down to the big Buddha statue this time but it is certainly one of the main attractions. Instead this time we went to a few of the smaller, quieter temples. It was nice!
