Home Sweet Home

Just a quick post to say that we're back from our holiday. It was nice that H had a bit longer this year so as well as visiting with his parents for a few days, we also went to a couple of famous traditional areas for sightseeing. Both were places neither of us had been to before so that was great. It also meant that we did a lot of travelling this holiday. I figure we spent approximately 12 hours on trains, and another 4 hours on buses in the last week! Whew! We really enjoyed ourselves though and I even got to see some snow!! And I took loads of pictures (999 to be exact- I almost filled my 1GB memory card!) and I'm sure I'll be posting some of them (once I get them downloaded and sorted) with more details about the trip soon.
After a week away it is nice to be home again though. We also retrieved the boys from pet prison (aka the vet) today and they both seem to be very glad to be home too. Here's hoping your Year of the Rat has started off well.

  5. Well, this isn't a witty remark, but I'm glad to hear you had a great time. I look forward to seeing some of your pictures!

My niece & her family are living in Japan as missionaries. I love to glean a little of the culture they are surrounded with. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Wendy- It's always fun visiting new places! It was great to see them for ourselves whereas before I'd only seen them in pictures.

Nymeth- Thanks. I've downloaded them, next I need to sort through all of them. ;)

quintarantino- Well, they're not all good. I've already deleted some of them. And then for the snow pictures I was bracketing to adjust for white balance so there are lots of very similar pictures.

Janet- Glad your blog is back up and running. I'll be over soon. And thanks. I took lots and lots of snow pictures so be careful what you wish for! ;P

Sharon- It is a very interesting place. I'll try to get some pictures up soon.
