winter wonderland

Photo taken last Thursday in Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage site. I'll be posting more photos from my trip on Thursday so please come back then.

  11. That is so beautiful. All of our snow is piled up in brown mounds on the curbs...not pretty any more. Your picture reminds me that there is still plenty of winter to come (and that's a good thing).

    I was so happy to see some snow and the weather was quite cooperative for taking photos. It only snowed a little bit and it was even melting a bit so it wasn't very cold.

    And in case you were wondering, it's a persimmon tree. I thought it was really pretty with the snow.
