spring is in the air

Yesterday we went to Ikegami Baien (plum garden) as the ume trees are now blooming. It was a warm, sunny day plus seeing the plum blossoms really made me feel like spring is in the air, at last.

  1. Gorgeous shots. I love tiny buds almost more than full flowering.

  6. I love those! Especially the first - the way the sky looks with the clouds, and the contrast with the colours of the flowers.

  11. So, so beautiful. We have a couple plum trees and the blossoms have the sweetest smell. Let's see, we should have blooms in a couple months. :<) It's around 4º F. this morning.

  12. Carver, Sandy, Kat, Jenny- Thanks for stopping by.

Madeleine- I always have to look up Fahrenheit temperatures. I've never gotten the hang of them. Today is was 19C (about 66F) here. Tomorrow's supposed to be a bit cooler but it's generally getting warmer.

Nymeth- I loved those clouds too. And it was just such a nice day.

Les- Hope spring arrives soon for you. Warmer days are definitely ahead here. Spring is so pretty here, I wish it could last longer and skip summer! ;)

Andi- I definitely feel like it's spring now.

Literary Feline- It was such a nice day I couldn't help but feel happy. :)

A Reader from India- You're very welcome. Spring and Fall are definitely the best seasons in Japan.

Nan- A couple of months? Although I'm pretty sure I'd trade in the awful hot summers for a longer winter! :P
