BAFAB Week Giveaway: The Winners

Thanks so much to everyone who joined in my book giveaway. It's time to announce the winners. I decided to go with a low-tech method this time around: some bits of paper, a bowl, and I enlisted the help of Jiro. We decided on one simple rule: whichever piece of paper he pulled out of the bowl first would be the winner!

First was the draw for Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami.
Jiro was so quick he's just a blur and I had to rescue the paper from him before he started chasing it all around the room.
But the winner is...
Next up for grabs was All She Was Worth by Miyuki Miyabe.
And the winner is...
And last, Snakes and Earrings by Hitomi Kanehara
And the winner is...

If the three of you could please email me with your mailing addresses, I'll get the books in the mail sometime this week.
Jiro is now sleeping on my lap and purring and seems quite pleased with his contribution to BAFAB Week! For those of you that didn't win this time, remember that the next BAFAB Week is in July. Until then, happy reading!

P.S. If you can't wait that long, Wendy is giving away two more books this week and Katrina has two books up for grabs this week too.

  9. Congrats to all the winners and THAT is the cutest thing I have ever seen!! I love cats. I showed Armani the screen in hopes he'd learn. He just looked and then bonked his head off the screen. : ) They can't all be brilliant!

But that is his little move when he likes you...he bonks his head off yours. lol

    Thanks for sharing that.

  10. Jeane- He got a little annoyed that I kept taking the bowl away to put the right names in for each draw, but he was a pretty good sport.

Bethany- There were so many great giveaways this time around. :)

Andi- He'll usually play with just about anything! He's always making me laugh.

Nymeth- I knew I'd never convince Bailey but Jiro's so easygoing. :)

Teresa- True, I hadn't really paid attention to that but it certainly is fitting.

Literary Feline- You're very welcome. Glad Jiro gave you both a good laugh. :)

Les- He's feeling pretty pleased with himself from all these comments. :P

    J. Kaye Oldner- I've just used a random number generator the last few times but I decided to have fun with it this time.

  13. This is the best contest-drawing post I ever saw! I have to admit I was reading and scrolling down and getting more excited about seeing my name written on a little piece of paper than I was about maybe winning a book. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks for helping, Jiro! I'd give you a little scratch behind the ears if I could.

Hmm, maybe you've started a fad. I have a drawing pretty soon... and a cat.... hmmm.
