in search of irises

Yesterday we went to Koishikawa Korakuen in the hope of taking pictures of the iris garden there. We were a bit early as they were just starting to bloom but we still found a few to take pictures of.

  1. These are beautiful. Irises are having a good season in Connecticut, which is nice. I've never seen so many colors as I have this year.

  6. Sandy- I love seeing all the different kinds of irises too although the purple ones in their various shades are still my favourite.

Joy- I was thinking of you! :)
I hope to get to another iris garden later this week, so hopefully I'll have some more photos to share.

  10. Oh how gorgeous! I love irises so much. We have an iris plant growing in our koi pond, and it looks like it's done its blooming for the year. Didn't last long, but at least we got to enjoy them.
