Currently reading...

Joining in a couple of weekly events for the first time.

First, each Tuesday, raidergirl3 of an adventure in reading asks:
It's Tuesday, where are you? Where is reading taking you today?

I'm in the town of Hawthorne, Massachusetts, after spending a frightening night on Misery Island. I can't remember how I got home and now my cousin is missing. I'm beginning to realize that the whole town might be hiding a secret. Who can I trust?

And hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading:

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
Share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!
Maddie raced ahead blindly, praying for a staircase, a ladder, an elevator shaft, anything that would help her climb up out of the depths of this evil place.
As she finally reached a staircase that led up to the main floor, Maddie began to wonder what would bring Rebecca back again and again to their basement.

  1. Sorry, both the 'where am I?' and the teaser are from 'Sisters of Misery', although the quote is taken from later in the book.

  2. What a great selection for the R.I.P. challenge. I've got an ARC of this book and should have thought of it for the challenge. Hmm, maybe I'll switch around some of my book choices... Sounds very good and creepy :)

  4. Hi Nat :)
I also joined, I happen to be in Tokyo , only on paper =(
I left you a couple of questions about the facts mentioned, is it fiction or do those places exsist in the city of Tokyo?

  5. As I'm reading your post I'm thinking I really need to find out what these two books are because they sound so good. Come to find out they are just one book. Not only that, but I have that book sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. Ohhh, FUN!
