'Matrimony' Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who entered.

A giveaway to kick off the start of Book Blogger Appreciation Week! This was actually arranged before BBAW was announced but I think it's a nice coincidence.

You've surely already seen this book mentioned around various blogs and other giveaways for it but if you haven't yet been able to get your hands on a copy, here's your chance. Joshua Henkin has kindly offered to send a signed copy of the newly released paperback of his New York Times Notable book, Matrimony, to one lucky winner.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post.
For an extra entry, post about this giveaway on your blog and make sure to come back and let me know you've done so.
And for another entry, tell us where you met your significant other and/or best friend. In Matrimony, the main characters met at college. How about you?
So you could have three chances to win!
The name of the winner will be drawn on Sunday, September 21st. And international entries are welcome.

Update: There were a couple of people wondering if they could still get an extra entry since they're not married. Of course! The question asks about your significant other and/or best friend. Your best friend could be a childhood friend, your pet dog, ... be creative with your answer. :)

You can read more about the book and the author at his website.
Josh has also been busy around the blogosphere. You can read his guest posts at the following blogs:
Books on the Brain
Planet Books
Musings of a Bookish Kitty

I would love to enter this contest. I'm finally sold on it after reading how everyone loves this book.

So my husband and I (like the book characters) met in college. I lived in a house with three other roommates but was leaving for a semester abroad. He answered the ad and was a sub-leaser for me. We hit it off before I left and emailed each other and everything while I was gone. When I got back we started dating and have been together since. We are going on our second year of marriage. :) Thank you!

I'd love to win this one Tanabata :) I keep seeing it on everyone's blogs, so I guess it's time to read it!

I met my main squeeze working at coffee shop in 2001. I had known her for a while before that, but we didn't really hit it off until I started working with her (though I had always had a secret crush on her ;)

Please enter me. I've been wanting to read this.

I met my husband on a blind date. We were both painfully shy, and I don't think we said 8 words to each other over dinner (although, I did mention how I don't really like chocolate, but I love Reese's peanut butter cups). Somehow he mannaged to ask me out again. Our third date was actually Valentine's day, and rather than the heart-shaped boxes of candy, he brought me a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups. I went home that night and told my mom that I'd met the man I was going to marry. That was 13 years and 2 children ago.

Thanks,
Traci

Please enter me!! I'm dying to read this book!

My husband and I met through friends at a pool hall. He's known my best friend since they were little, and he and my best friend's hubby are best friends. I actually was there because I was interested in another friend of theirs. Funny how things work. (Today's our 8th anniversary!)

Hi Nat,

The reviews are very interesting and I would love to be included, though I am not sure if it would be fair to enter, as I had won in your previous book giveaway!

Again not sure if I am eligible for one more entry - I am blissfully single!

okay so i met my best friend at college, in my second day. It was weird because we started talking like we know each other, she was late for class, and she started talling me why she did, and the whole story about her and her family, it was just great.

I'd love to win a copy! I met my husband when I was 12 and he was 15. At that time he was the "older guy" I wasn't allowed to hang around with! We met again when I was 26...and he wasn't "so much older" anymore! Now, 30 years later I tease him that I will never be as old as him! Thanks for the giveaway!

I think this book sounds great for me, my man and I have been bumping heads a little lately, and I am the stubborn one, maybe I can gain some perspective from liberal Mia.
as funny as it is, we met on a band message board....but have been together for 3 years and actually had friends in common too.
