silly cats

Bailey's favourite place to nap and hang out on hot summer days. Never in front of the fan but always right behind it.

And Jiro's current favourite place for a nap is this box with the crumpled up papers in it. There are a couple other boxes without papers but he keeps coming back to this one!

  1. Beautiful cats and that is funny where they pick their spots.

  4. thats funny, my cat hates the noise our fan makes!

bless jiro for sleeping amongst the paper, not the softest bedding he could have found!

  5. I wonder if it is the sound of the fan? He can't be getting much air! My cat used to LOVE boxes and paper; especially crinkled up paper. It is so cheap to make them happy :o)

  6. This is funny, every pet I've had including Oliver sits behind the fan???? It must be something to do with the direct air flow bothering them. Well as long as they are happy believing they are cooling of it is ok with me :)
My vote goes to Jiro this time, he looks so cute all wrapped up in paper, what a lovely present he'd make. Baily looks handsome as usual but I remember what you told me, hope his behaviour has improved....:P

Hoping your week has a good start

  7. Carver- It's funny how their favourite spots change too. It might be one place this week but somewhere else the next.

Janet- Sometimes I'll be sitting at the computer and hear crinkle, crinkle, and I know exactly where he is! :)

Nymeth- Yes, I do think Jiro finds it cosy in there. Course today it's quite hot out so he's sprawled out on the floor, for now anyway.

mariel- We've got another much noisier fan that he also sometimes naps behind so it must not bother him. And Jiro has a favourite cushion he often sleeps on but lately he's loving that box! (shrug)

Terri B.- Everytime we get a delivery of something we always leave the box out for a while. It takes mere seconds for one of them to hop or crawl in. And you're right, they do always seem to like the free things better than any special cat toys! :)

Madeleine- My guess is that he does get a slight breeze as the fan pulls the air. H is always worried Bailey will get his ear up in the fan, and he has come close a couple times! Bailey's behaviour has improved a bit. He's still demanding and will be naughty at times but not as bad as it was a few months ago.

    Sandy- They do indeed!

  9. Rhinoa- They certainly do!
BTW, I haven't been able to visit your blog. Some kind of imageshack ban all over it. ???

  11. Nancy- They really are quite silly. Jiro especially! But they make me smile or laugh on a daily basis. :)

  13. I love the cat photos, Nat! I noticed the other night that Anya was mirroring Riley, my dog. They were both stretched out on the carpet and whatever position Riley was in, Anya had to mimic him. It was really cute. :-)

  14. Wendy- That sounds adorable! Jiro used to copy Bailey a bit more when he first came to us and was younger, but not as much now. Right now, he's back in the same box! He still loves it. :)
