rose garden

Photobucket
Yesterday we went to the rose garden at Kyu Furukawa Teien, where we took pictures this spring, for their fall rose festival. There weren't as many roses this time (quite a few buds though so I suppose were were a bit early) but the ones that were blooming were still beautiful.

(I'll be posting roses for the rest of the week on my photoblog).

  4. Hi Nat :}

    Beautiful photo of roses!

    Where I live, trees predominate the scenery. I find flowers on my walks with Oliver, mostly in people's yards. I know Tokyo city is a lot like the city of my home, all high tech buildings etc... but still I wish I could see those beautiful gardens the Japanese are known for, so many gorgeous flowers and colors.

    Right now in Virginia it is still early to take photos of trees, maybe in November. I have my camera ready :}

    Hope your week started well
    I could not find any flowers yesterday, the daisies where a surprise, however they where planted recently.

    Have a great week

  9. As always, thanks everyone for stopping by!

    Sylvie - You're right, Tokyo is mainly concrete, high rises and bright lights with the odd tree here and there. Luckily though there are also several parks and gardens scattered around. I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't escape the city even for an hour or two.
    It's still early for autumn leaves here too. They usually start to change around the end of November. My camera's ready too! :)

    Jean Chia and Janet - Good eyes! Yes, it is a mirror. In a small section of the rose garden they had a few mirrors in behind the roses. Made for a nice effect.

    Thanks Wendy! :)
