PhotoHunt: Warm

Not something you see everyday! Happened upon this cat, and its owner I presume, while wandering around Yushima tenmangu (shrine) last weekend to see the blossoming plum trees.

  1. If that were my Benjamin, he would be hot under the collar )or scarf, in this case) for being stuffed into a costume...

  3. lol! Not indeed. That kind of looks like one of my cats, except he'd freak out if a) I tried to make him wear anything at all b) he saw all those strangers around him :P

  7. Oh no :D this is all I could think of shooting, Oliver in his ultra warm coat. I'll do it anyway, he looks so snuggled up and I never have posted him with it on.
Did not put it on him this year, no snow.....:(

This looks like a well loved kitty, kinda cool!

  9. My cat would never allow me to wrestle her into a sweater!

  10. Lovley shot! Poor cat.. I haven't seen a cat wearing something like this before. Just tiny dogs..

But it is a GREAT shot!
And I laughed from the bottom of my heart when I saw this one.
The cat actually seems to enjoy the outfit! ;)

    Mine is up too!
    Happy weekend! :)

  11. Too funny! There's no way my cat would have any part of wearing an outfit, but it would be fun to try.

  12. Wow! Amazing cat as he/she seems not to mind the sweater and appears quite happy to be traveling that way. Nice shot.

  14. Yeah, my cat would not be thrilled to find itself in such a situation! Fun picture, though!

  15. My cats would NEVER let me even put so much as a piece of ribbon on them, let alone a whole outfit.

This reminds me of the time I tried to take one of my cats on a walk. Diaster - my mild-mannered cat freaked out, ran under a parked car and let out the most heinous yowls until I could get him and and put him back safely in my apartment.

    Cute picture though!

  16. What a great capture!! You don't see many cats that will stay up on someone's shoulders like that! I love the colorful outfit as well. This was perfect for the warm theme today!

    Mine is up at:

  19. Thanks everyone for stopping by and your comments.
I can't imagine either of our cats letting us put any kind of clothes on them either. This cat seemed perfectly calm and used to all the attention though. :)

Nymeth - I admit I did a double take when I first caught a glimpse of the cat. Our two would definitely freak out from all those people, they're a bit shy with strangers.

Sylvie - Oliver is very cute in his little coat! It's too bad you never got any snowy weather for him to wear it.

Vita Stunder - I'm glad the photo made you smile. :)

Brita - The cat really did seem to be perfectly happy like that.

Emzkie - It's true you don't usually see cat clothes but you can certainly find lots of dog shops here with all kinds of outfits.

Lesley - LOL. I can totally picture that! I don't think I'll ever try to take ours for a walk as I imagine something similar would happen.

Maureen Hayes - I'd never seen a cat standing on someone's shoulders like that either, but he just stayed up there!
