Lightheaded - The green tea frappucino at Starbucks is really sweet and only partly tastes like green tea, imo. But wasabi ice cream? I've never tried that, or heard of it for that matter, but now I want to! :P

Andi - Yummy is the word of the day! "Proper" matcha doesn't have any sugar in it at all. The idea is to drink it just after eating a little sweet cake. Commercial green tea ice cream is quite sweet. I used to buy the Haagen Dazs one sometimes but haven't since we got our ice cream maker. It's nice that we can control how much sugar goes in, and of course no preservatives!

Yummy books and yummy ice cream! I do love the color of green tea. It's one of my favorite colors, actually. I'm not sure if the American version of green tea ice cream is way over-sugared or what, but I've never noticed the bitterness.

A goal of 1,000 pages is quite ambitious; I only made around 500. But, I'll think about setting it higher for next time! I have Paprika waiting on my shelf, thanks to you telling us about it, and I so want to read Her Fearful Symmetry. I noticed I could download it on iTunes, but I'm not sure I want it as an audio book. I'm much better with the text in front of my own eyes. Your ice cream looks so yummy!

Mmmm ... I love green tea ice cream. Nice picture! I've got some green tea powder and still need to figure out what all I can do with it.

I started "I Am a Cat" yesterday and loving it! I'm picking at "Tales of Moonlight..." and finding it difficult to ignore the footnotes, but reading the footnotes (so many of them) causes me to lose focus on the stories. Sigh. The stories themselves are worth the work, but it is taking me FOREVER.
