Nat, what a lovely post. I recently resumed book blogging after a long gap, back to visiting old favourite book blogs and was delighted to see this post. Have heard about the read-a-thons, wish I had been able to meet Dewey.

Dewey was before my time, but I hear her spoken of with such fondness and admiration by the bloggers who knew her that I know she must have been an amazing and special person. I think she is a great person to have highlighted here, from what I I have heard about the things she did for the book blogging community.

Love this post, and I think you made excellent choices in your shout-outs! Many of us might not have made and maintained long-term connections if not for Dewey. And Amy still manages to bring this increasingly far-flung, wide-ranging community together for a few days every year, which is definitely something to appreciate.

I had a hard time choosing. But I opted for totally unheard of blogs. Isn't that the intention of community? To spread far and wide!!
